For generations, a child's first knitting experience included a simple thread spool and some yarn. With these simple objects beautiful knitted tubes are created that can be made into coiled hot pads, placemats, decorative accents, and many other exciting projects.

The manufacturer recommends for ages 7+ (probably because of the sewing skills needed to make a product out of the tube), although I know several children that have mastered this skill of simple tube making with a young age of 4+.
