Our newer models include a slight notch on the end of the shed stick, which helps with handling.
Used as a pick up stick, you can easily glide (weave) the shed stick's believed edge, pointy nose up and down through your warp strings. Then you simply turn it on its side, causing a large gap (the shed) between the warp strings, for pushing your shuttle through from one side to the other. If using two sticks, you can leave one in, saving you half the time.
For a more experienced weaver, you can also use it as a pattern stick, creating interesting patterns in your work.
Good for rigid heddle looms, table looms and lap looms.
